We wish to speak about death. Most humans have a concept of the death experience that was given to you by your religion. But in truth, most do not have certainty about what really happens upon the death of the physical body. So, let’s take a closer look at the death experience.
For many humans, death is not a comfortable topic. Many will see the title of this message and decide not to read or listen to it. Why? In large part it is because you fear death. For many, that is simply the fear of the unknown. Others have known someone who made their transition in a painful or traumatic way, and so they fear having to endure a similar experience. And most have also witnessed countless deaths depicted in the movies and television, which are rarely joyful events. So often the death you see on your screen is untimely and violent.
Pause for a moment now and consider this: Why is it that the thing you fear the most as a human race—the thing that you are perhaps least comfortable talking or even thinking about—is one of the most common themes of your entertainment. Humans have such a distaste for engaging in meaningful conversation about death, and yet you spend money and precious free time watching people die in unpleasant ways. You don’t want to envision your own death, even under pleasant circumstances, and yet you are entertained by watching simulated death over and over. Ponder that. Is it rational?
Your fascination with and aversion to death both arise from the fact that you know it is inevitable. You know that at some point you will leave the physical body you now inhabit and journey to . . . . what? Heaven? Hell? Nothingness? Pure consciousness? A big cosmic party? The judgment of God or your prophet? You don’t really know, do you? At least not consciously. But your Higher Self knows.
The Higher Self and the Physical Self
Your Higher Self—that part of you which resides on the other side of the veil—has the perspective of having transitioned into and out of the physical many times. It also has the perspective of never having been physical. How can that be? Because there is part of your soul that always remains non-physical. Only a portion of the soul incarnates in the body. The portion that incarnates has no fear of death when it is not incarnated because it has the perspective of the Higher Self, with no veil creating the perception of separation. From this perspective, it understands that the cycle of birth and death is the game, and it is a willing participant. When abiding on the earth plane, it surrenders that understanding. Once back in the physical, the perspective of the Higher Self dissolves, and you are once again in a state of questioning. For many, it is also a state of fear.
On the other side, your Higher Self views the cycle of birth and death, and hence the death experience, with a level of detachment similar to what you experience when watching simulated death in a movie. You may feel a sense of sadness if death comes to a character you like, and you may feel relief and even joy if death comes to a distasteful character—what you would call a “bad guy”. But your overarching response is typically detached acceptance. You know it is just a story, after all, so no point in spending a lot of time and energy feeling too good or too bad about either outcome. In a similar way, your Higher Self knows your life is just a story that you write through the choices you make of your own free will. The part of you that is non-physical watches you progress through the movie of your life, and it speaks to you as you go.
Have you ever known someone who talks to the TV or movie screen? If a beloved character is about to make a dangerous choice they may shout, “No, don’t do that!” And when the character makes a successful choice they may cheer, “Yeah! Way to go!” Maybe you are also a screen talker?
Well, your Higher Self is a lot like that. You are the central beloved character in the story of your physical life, and the Higher Self is your cheerleader. When you make enlightened choices, it embraces you and says, “Great job—I knew you could do it!” And when you are on the verge of making a boneheaded decision it shouts, “No, don’t do that! Go over there instead!” But just as you cannot alter the choices of the characters you are watching on your screen, your Higher Self cannot interfere with the choices you make of your own free will. You are always in the driver’s seat when in the physical.
You can, however, use your free will to listen to the guidance coming from your Higher Self. That is a skill you can develop, and we encourage you to do so because it will make life a more pleasant experience. It is also the subject of other messages, and we are not going to say more about it here. For now, we simply want to underscore the point that from the Higher Self’s point of view, the death of your physical body is no more or less traumatic than you watching the fictional death of a character on a screen.
There is No Judgment in Death
All death is equal as viewed by the Higher Self. There is not one form of transition from physical to non-physical that is more or less desirable. To the physical self, the you that is reading or listening to this message, there are “good” ways to transition and “bad” ways to transition. Good looks something like this: You live to be 100 years old. You are active and healthy until your final day, and your life is still full of joy and abundance. Your last day on earth is a happy one, perhaps spent in the company of family and friends, doing something you love. Then you depart the body peacefully in your sleep, without pain or trauma. Once departed, your soul arrives on the other side to be reunited with the loved ones who have gone before you. They greet you with open arms and loving embraces, and you feel a peace you never knew in your physical life. On the other hand, the “bad” death is usually associated with trauma, tragedy, and sorrow. It may be quick and violent or long and painful, but it is almost always seen as untimely and unpleasant.
These are the two extremes of how humans view the death of their physical body, and there are many variations in between. But no matter the circumstances surrounding the transition to non-physical, or the human’s perception of the transition, the Higher Self knows that your life is eternal. And the choices you make of your own free will while in body are honored no matter how they appear to the bias of the human mind.
In the physical, you judge this to be good and that to be bad, and then you judge yourself and others for how many “good” and “bad” choices you all make. If you feel you have made many bad choices, you begin to fear what may await you when you leave the physical body. The fear of punishment—perhaps for all eternity—comes in. And if you judge that a loved one has made too many “bad” choices, you fear what awaits them. For many, this fear is quite strong, even to the point where it dominates their life experience.
Friends, what we want you to know is that you are not judged when you transition from the body. Your free will choices are honored. And whether you experience what you judge to be a good death after a good life or a bad death after a life of bad choices, your Higher Self rejoices upon your return to the other side all the same.
You may ask, “Why, then, would I care at all about what I do while in the physical body? What’s my incentive to be kind, honest, or generous if we all meet the same fate in the end?” It is because you want to experience personal peace, and you can only know peace in your life when you make choices that vibrate at the frequency of love. And if you do not know peace in your life, you will never make peace with death. You see, fear begets fear. The only reason anyone would be mean to or dishonest with another is because there is some fear motivating them, such as the fear of being hurt, the fear of being less than, or the fear of being taken advantage of.
What do you know about fear? If you have read any of our other messages, you know that we often speak of fear, the lowest vibration emotion, as the polar opposite of love, the highest vibration emotion. As we have said many times, low-vibration thoughts and emotions attract low-vibration experiences into your life—experiences that most would find undesirable. That includes a fearful perspective on death. In other words, it is impossible to go through life creating chaos and mistreating people and have a fearless outlook on death at the same time. The two cannot exist side-by-side.
On the other hand, when you know true peace in your life because you spend most of your waking moments thinking thoughts and taking actions that vibrate closer to the frequency of pure love, then the True Divine Nature of human existence begins to reveal itself to you. This is important. The more you live your life through the frequencies that abide at the love end of the spectrum, the more you connect with your Higher Self, and thus the more you live your physical life from the perspective of the Higher Self. That includes aligning with the Higher Self’s knowing that the end of your current physical life is merely a transition from one state of being to another. You come to embody the understanding that you are much, MUCH bigger than just the current physical body. You know with personal certainty that you are a multi-dimensional eternal being and that only a portion of you is playing the game called human life. And you know that when it is time for the game to end, you will rejoin the vast non-physical self that knows only peace and joy—for anything less is only possible on the denser earth plane. You may even come to look forward to your transition from the physical. Not because you want your physical life to end, but because you desire to know how big you really are.
Think of it is as looking forward to graduation from high school. You may really be enjoying school—having a great time with friends and learning many new things. A part of you wishes the good times could go on forever, but another part of you can’t wait to move on to see what other amazing experiences await. You already know the world is so much bigger than your current experience, and you are excited for you transition into that world.
Your experience of physical death can be like that, friends. But it all comes down to how you live your physical life. When you live a life rooted in fearful thoughts and actions, death is a fearful thing. But when you live a life of love, physical death is not frightening. It is instead just the next step in your journey of expansion into your True Nature. The more you live in love, the more you bring heaven down to earth. And when you are already living in heaven, why would you have any reservations about leaving the physical body to meld fully back into the heavenly realms where the Higher Self dwells, free of duality and constraints.
The Connection Never Dies
Some experience fear or sorrow when they think of the ones they will leave behind upon transitioning. They are sensitive to the grief they know loved ones will feel. But we want you to know that the feeling of grief one experiences when another transitions from the body is nothing more than feeling the disconnection from the energy you both share in the physical. When one soul withdraws their energy from the physical plane, those who remain experience it as profound loss, and that causes the feelings of sorrow and anger that often surface.
But it doesn’t have to be that way at all because every human has the ability to remain connected to the energy of their beloved departed souls. How do you do that? Again, by raising your vibration to align more closely with the very high vibration of the non-corporeal soul. As we have said, the earth plane is intentionally very dense. That is why you forget how big you truly are when you are in the physical. But you can remember even when in the physical body by continuing to align with love. Moment by moment, thought by thought, choice by choice, align with the Divine Love that you are in the non-physical. In doing so, you are also then aligning with those you love who have already transitioned. Their energy is always available for you. You simply must raise your vibration to meet them.
Therefore, the best thing you can do to lessen any concern you may have about the grief others will experience upon your transition is to teach them this Truth and to model it for them through your own thoughts and actions. Practice Divine Love, compassion, forgiveness, and patience, and model these values to those whom you love in this life to encourage the raising of their own vibration. When you do this, you are giving them a precious gift. They still must use their own free will to also seek the higher vibration, but you can give them a boost up the ladder of consciousness in a way that will help put your own heart at ease.
Physical life and physical death are just different energetic states, friends. When you transition beyond the physical, you merge back completely with your Higher Self and experience once again the high-vibration state of being that is your True Nature. But don’t wait for the death of the physical body to achieve that state. It is absolutely attainable to you while in the physical, and it is the game you agreed to play. Attaining the state of pure Divine Love while in the physical is why you are here. Live your life in Divine Love and physical death will be as walking through a doorway from one room to another.
We wish you blessings on your journey.
